For 90 days get to know more about the international faces of the NBA. Day 58 brings...

Erik Murphy (F, Cleveland Cavaliers) France

Height: 2.08m, 6-foot-10 | Weight: 104.3kg, 230 pounds| Born: 26 October, 1990

From 26.4 minutes per game to 2.6 minutes per game. The transition from Erik Murphy's senior year at Florida University to his rookie year in the NBA came with major adjustments.

Murphy didn't get much playing time to prove his skillset at the NBA level playing in 24 games and attempting 16 field goals on the season.

In his senior year at Florida University, Murphy averaged 12.2 points per game and shot 45.3% from three-point range, showing a style of play that displayed true potential at the professional level. The Bulls certainly took notice selecting him in the second round of the 2013 Draft. But in April the Bulls placed Murphy on waivers.

Murphy was claimed for a short time by the Utah Jazz and showed serious promise during Summer League competition with a break-out 17-point performance in a game versus the Nuggets. But his stint in Utah was short-lived as an off-season trade in July sent him to the Cavaliers.

Currently, Murphy holds a roster spot on the Finland National Team in the FIBA World Cup and had solid outings against the USA and Ukraine scoring 10 and 12 points respectively. Now joining a top notch Cavaliers lineup, Murphy will look to build a strong performance during FIBA with the hopes to carry it over to Cleveland this season.
