For 90 days get to know more about the international faces of the NBA. Day 59 brings…

Steve Nash (PG, Los Angeles Lakers), Canada

Height: 1.91m, 6-foot-3| Weight: 80.73kg, 178 pounds | Born: 7 February, 1974 (South Africa)

For Steve Nash, it'll never be the same again, but it may not be over yet.

Back and nerve issues have plagued one of the most illustrious players of a generation for two seasons now. In 2013-14, he played in only 15 games and struggled with mobility – once his greatest asset. But in one of those games, we saw flashes of the past. On 7 February (his birthday), Nash showed the world how to turn 40 by posting 19 points, five assists, four rebounds and taking Sixers' Evan Turner to school with a crafty crossover.

Though his contract with the Lakers draws to a close, and the twilight of his career nears, Nash doesn't plan to go quietly. He's been training hard, harder than he has in years. And the world will wait to see if this star shines once more before the lights finally go down in Los Angeles.
