Luc Mbah A Moute (F, Philadelphia 76ers) Cameroon

Height: 2.03m, 6-foot-8| Weight: 104.3kg, 230 pounds | Born: 9 September, 1986

Luc Mbah a Moute is basketball royalty. Literally.

The six year NBA veteran has not only made a name for himself as a professional basketball player but is also a prince in the village of Bia Messe in his home country, Cameroon.

While he is a real-life prince, in the NBA he is known more as the Prince of Defense. As reported by CNN, Andrew Bogut spoke highly of Mbah a Moute stating, "I think there is no one like him in the game because he can guard one through five positions on the floor – big guys, small guys."

While many players have praised his defensive skillset, this past season saw a decline in overall stats for Mbah a Moute. He averaged 3.5 points and 2.3 rebounds despite career averages of 6.3 and 4.9 respectively. He split time with two teams during the year after being traded from the Kings in late November to the Timberwolves.

The 2014-15 season will mark yet another team in the past year as he joins the 76ers. The three-team trade that sent Kevin Love to the Cavaliers, Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and Thaddeus Young to Minnesota, also included Alexey Shved and Mbah a Moute to Philadelphia.

The veteran will bring experience to a team that struggled last season with just 19 wins. And fans will look to Mbah a Moute to unlock the keys to another kingdom – a playoff berth.
